Geri Mur rođen je u Belfastu 1952. godine. Tokom karijere u dva navrata je svirao u bendu Thin Lizzy. Solo karijeru započeo je 1973. godine objavljivanjem albuma "Grinding Stone". Tokom karijere objavio je 20 studijskih albuma, među kojima je je najuspešniji bio "Still Got The Blues" iz 1990. godine. Srpski fanovi ovog muzičara imali su priliku da ga gledaju uživo u Beogradu 2007. godine na festivalu "Jelen pivo live", kao i naredne godine u Sava Centru.
