Nvidia· AMD will significantly increase GPU prices from next month

Nvidia and AMD in the United States are expected to significantly increase the price of graphics processing units (GPUs) from January next year. The cost burden of high memory prices is considered a key reason for the increase in GPU prices.

The two companies plan to start a phased price adjustment over the next few months, rather than just raising prices once. As a result, the price of not only consumer GPUs but also expensive GPUs used in artificial intelligence (AI) data centers and servers can be raised all at once.

According to industry reports on the 30th, AMD will raise the price of some GPUs from January next year, and Nvidia will raise the price of some GPUs from February next year.

Price increases are expected to be made first, mainly for some consumer GPUs, such as Nvidia's GeForce RTX 50 series and AMD's Radeon RX 9000 series. The factory price of NVIDIA's flagship product, the RTX 5090, was $1,999 (2.86 million won) at the beginning of this year, and it is expected to soar to $5,000 (7.15 million won) next year.
