Prodavajući piksele na svojoj stranici milliondollarhomepage.com mladi britanac Alex Tew vjerojatno nije ni sanjao u što će se pretvoriti njegov život. Zaradio je 566 tisuća funti, odnosno više od milijun dolara, no zbog novca je upao u probleme. Naime, hakeri za koje se vjeruje da su Rusi, poslali su mu e-mail prijetnje u kojem traže novčani iznos od 50 tisuća dolara ili će u suprotnom srušiti stranicu na kojoj se oglašavaju i velikani poput Microsofta, Ebaya, Yahooa i CNN-a. “Bok, tvoja web stranica je pod našim napadom. Da zaustavimo DdoS pošalji nam 50,000 dolara”, stoji u mailu koji su hakeri poslali mladom poduzetnom Britancu. DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) napad je tipičan način blokiranja pristupa stranica tako da tu stranicu opterete s povećanim prometom. Ovo međutim nije prva prijetnja koju je Tew dobio. Još 7. siječnja grupa koja se naziva The Dark Group zatražila je 5 tisuća dolara, no na tu se prijetnju nije previše obazirao. U srijedu je prodano zadnjih 1000 piksela za 38,100 dolara.
