There are Two processor cores in an Intel Core2 Duo. For the above named processor, there are TWO processor cores operating at 2.93GHz EACH. This does not add up to 5.86GHz. Doesn't work that way. The processor still only operates at 2.93GHz. Crude example: You have one man outside digging a ditch. Take him out, and replace him with two men. Which way gets the job done faster? The Two men. They team up on the task. The Intel Core2 Duo does the same thing. Both processor cores team up on the task at hand. However! They only do this when called upon. One processor core may be able to run the whole show. When things get a little intense, the other processor core jumps in. Kind of like a tag team wrestling match. Intel and AMD, found out that there was a ceiling limit, on how much a frequency rate could be increased, for a single core processor. Such as a Pentium 4. The more the frequency rate was increased, the more heat developed. Heat = Wasted Energy Also, because of the increased frequency rate, Electron Migration started to ensue. Electrons started 'jumping ship'! Inside a processor are very, very small circuit paths. The Electrons jumped from one path to another, when Electron Migration enused. This led to the processor burning up. Like ON FIRE! New technology was brought out. Two processor cores and smaller microarchitecture. The microarchtectural size was made smaller, and based on the Nanometer. -> nm <- 1 Nanometer is approximately 1 Billionth of a meter. 1.Smaller architectural size meant smaller circuit paths. Electrons could get to where their going faster. Means more -> Speed 2.Smaller architectural size means less heat is developed. Heat = Wasted Energy. Means more -> Efficiency 3.Smaller architectural size means less power is used. Again, means more -> Efficiency 4.Smaller architectural size means more transistors, and their related components, could be put in the same space as the larger architectural size before it. (Went from 180nm, to 130nm, to 90nm, to 65nm, and now 45nm. In the very near future it will be 32nm, and then 22nm. Westmere, Sandy Bridge and Haswell) BUT, there are also Instruction Sets that are WAY more advanced than what the old single core Intel Pentium 4 used. SSE4.2 This again, makes the processor more -> Efficient. Stated all of this, so that you and your friend aren't just blinded by a processors 'Speed'. It's all of this other technology that makes the dual core and quad core a much better processor than the old Pentium 4. Now there is the Intel Core i7. A whole new technology for Intel. (The On-Die memory controller used for an Intel Core i7, has been used by AMD for quite some time!) Want to get into new technology, that will put an Intel Core i7 to shame? Look into the Cell Processor, and also Nvidia Tesla Technology. (You may have heard about the Cell Processor. Cekaj, rezervisao u januaru za 5. jun (kad ni penzioneri ne idu na more) u pizdi materini 50 eura / po danu ?! A pritom je prva prodavnica od hotela 2.5km ?! Jesi siguran da te nisu zajebali?

IJU! IJU! IJU! IJU! IJU! IJU! Kakvo "druzenje" sinoc, kakva ekipa, kakav razvrat! Ahhhh Nas trojica, 3 igracice, flasa jabuke, 2 litre jegera i piva. Od 11 do 2 pili dok nismo znali za sebe, posle je jednoj palo na pamet da igram masne fote (bilo je sve samo ne to) jer smo posle pola sata bili u gacama, a one potpuno gole. The rest is history.
