According to the new details, multiple sources have confirmed that a new story-based DLC for The Witcher 3 is in active development and is being handled by Fool’s Theory, a studio made up of former senior developers who worked on the original game. “Based on the information we’ve gathered, the unannounced project from CD Projekt Red, being developed by Fool’s Theory, is a story-based DLC for The Witcher 3,” they said during the video. “And this information has been confirmed by several independent sources.” He added that he’s heard the planned release window is sometime in 2026, but even that hasn’t been locked down fully.
