Denmark, a global leader in wind power whose own attempt at an electric car in the early 1980s famously flopped, used to be enthralled with them. Its bicycle-loving people bought 5,298 of them in 2015, more than double the amount sold that year in Italy, which has a population more than 10 times the size of Denmark's.

However, it turns out that those phenomenal sales figures had as much to do with convenience as with environmental concerns: electric car dealers were for a long time spared the jaw-dropping import tax of 180 percent that Denmark applies on vehicles fueled by a traditional combustion engine. 

In the fall of 2015, the Liberal-led government of Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen announced the progressive phasing out of tax breaks on electric cars, citing budget constraints and the desire to level the playing field.

Tesla, whose sales were skyrocketing at the time, lobbied against the move, with Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk warning during a visit to Copenhagen that sales would be hit. 

The new tax regime "completely killed the market," Laerke Flader, head of the Danish Electric Car Alliance, said in a recent interview. "Price really matters."

The new rules mean the transition to a post-subsidy era has been postponed until at least 5,000 new electric cars are sold over the 2016-2018 period. Tax breaks will in any case be progressively eliminated as of 2019, regardless of sales numbers. The plan envisages a 40 percent registration tax minus a 10,000 kroner ($1,500) deduction in 2019, with the tax rising to 65 percent in 2021, 90 percent in 2021 and 100 percent in 2022.

While sales of low or zero emission cars continue to boom in neighboring Sweden thanks to a wide range of subsidies, including a five-year tax break and a 40,000 kronor ($4,600) purchase premium, the Danish government's U-turn has caused confusion, prompting many potential customers to either postpone or desist from their purchases.

Flader said electric car dealers have rolled back their sales drive as a result.

The electric car industry "doesn't want to invest in a market that may not be there next year. They'd rather invest where conditions are better and predictable long-term,"  Flader said.

Uskoro poplava polovnjaka iz Nemačke i Švajcarske

Cena polovnih automobila u Srbiji trebalo bi uskoro da bude znatno niža, tako da ako ste planirali da kupite polovni automobil sačekajte još malo.

Nemačka i Švajcarska donele su zakone koji nalažu da se sa njihovih ulica povuku sva vozila proizvedena pre 2009. godine. Kako je Nemačka jedna od glavnih izvoznika polovnih vozila za Srbiju, naše tržište bi u narednom periodu mogli da preplave automobili viših klasa po smanjenim cenama, što bi za sobom povuklo i pad cena svih ostalih polovnih automobila.

Koliko je realno ovo? Neko mi reče da se ovo već jednom desilo pre desetak godina?

@Udo Tvrdi ima li neki zvaničan podatak u Švici?

Ja isto mislim da ovi naši dižu hajp potpuno bespotrebno. Poenta je da oni sada imaju mehanizme da lokalne vlasti u gradovima zabrane da u centar grada idu vozila koja nemaju Euro 6 motore. Ali niko neće preko noći sad da donese zakon u tipa Minhenu "e od sutra ne idu Euro 6 vozila u centar". Jer tipa samo oko trećina dizela u Nemačkoj je 2015. ispunjavala Euro 6, sad je ta cifra verovatno dosta veća ali opet neće neka lokalna vlast da na sebe navuče bes sopstvenih građana, nego će to lepo, postepeno, tokom godina kada bi ljudi ionako manje više morali da menjaju kola. Tako da će kod nas ti automobili verovatno da dolaze sličnom dinamikom kao i do sada.

I da, nakon skandala sa VW-om su zaključili da i Euro 6 dizeli ispuštaju slične količine azot nekog oksida (oni ga označavaju kao NOx) pa sada ona vozila koja su stvarno čista mogu da dobiju plavu nalepnicu, to je ovo http://www.blaue-plakette.de/en.html E sad nekad u budućnosti će ta značka služiti da samo vozila s time mogu u neke zone grada, ali koliko sam ja video tamo na sajtu to zapravo još uvek nije nigde implementirano. Biće u nekom momentu, ali kažem opet ne preko noći, to nikome nije u interesu.

u gradu vec mesecima vidjam m6 grand coupe u mat plavoj boji. Nisam nesto odusevljen

btw, Novi Ferrrrrrari - Portofino . 590 KS. Zamena za Kaliforniju T. Btw ove godine se Ferari bash otvorio - GTC4 Lusso, 812 i sada ovo.

Osim malo preteranog keza maske hladnjaka, meni je ovo fantastichno. Mislim da je ovo prvi Hard Top kabriolet koji mi se svidja i sa podignutim krovom.
